How To Install A Marble Tile Backsplash?

The other materials that are needed to install marble tile backsplash are sponge, sealant, spacers, trowel, grout and mortar. At first, one needs to make the surface prepared for installing the backsplash. If the kitchen has a backsplash then one should remove it carefully. Then the outlets, trims, masked areas and switch covers should be removed properly. Unwanted kitchen outlets can also be covered in this time. One should consult someone experienced in home remodeling jobs for all these works.
When the surface would be prepared for backsplash installation, one can begin the process of tilling. One should begin the work with small areas. After completing the work on the small area successfully, one can move to the other areas. To install a backsplash on the kitchen, one should have a mortar. Flat end of trowel is applied on wall. Then it is smoothed with notched side of it.
Mix should be spread smoothly and evenly on the surface. This would help in proper installation of the kitchen backsplash. Mortar should be used carefully. It plays a significant role in the installation of the kitchen backsplash. To give the kitchen an elegant look one should be particular about the spacing of tiles. Misalignment of tiles can spoil complete appearance of the kitchen. The spacers should also be placed evenly. After completing the job, one should first clean the excess mortar.
If the surface of tiling is masked then excess mortar would not get stuck to it. Thus, the look of the backsplash would not get damaged. The tape from mortar surface should be removed before it gets dried. Sealant should be applied to the surface to increase its durability. Then, the space should be filled with grouts and excess grouts should be removed with sponge. By following this simple tips, one can install a marble backsplash easily.
