Why do I have broken capillaries on my back, chest and shoulders and what can I do about them?
I’m an 18 year old female and I just recently noticed some small, faint broken capillaries on my shoulders, upper back and chest. What could be the cause of these and what can I do to make sure they don’t get worse? I really have no idea! I also noticed that my 24 year old sister had them on her upper back the other week, a little worse than mine though. I really have no idea what they’re all about.
This often runs in families and has no specific cause – it is just something that your body does. They are usually sporadic, will fade over time and nothing you can do will prevent them from happening in the future. If any should occur on your face, a laser clinic can zap them and make them less noticeable but this is an expensive option.
